Gun Blood

Gun Blood is an arcade Wild West dueling shooter where you face off one-on-one — drawing your revolver on a timer and gunning down outlaws faster than they can get you, relying on nothing but reflexes and aim.

In Gun Blood, you play as a gunslinger of the Wild West who takes on a series of dangerous criminals. Choose one of ten cowboys and step into back-to-back duels against nine opponents, fighting to survive and prove you're the fastest draw in the land.

Every duel is short, but the tension is brutal: your opponent stands across from you, the countdown ticks from three to zero, and the moment "Fire" flashes, you've got a split second to draw and shoot. Speed and accuracy both matter — hesitate or start missing, and the cowboy across from you will fill your character full of holes.

How a Duel Works

Before each round, you see your character on the left and your enemy on the right, both standing still like a scene straight out of a classic Western. Your revolver sits at the bottom of the screen; a three-second timer starts at the top.

While the countdown runs, you keep your cursor on the revolver's cylinder.

The moment the "Fire" signal appears, you snap your cursor toward the enemy and start shooting.

You have 6 bullets; so does your opponent. If you both run out and neither of you is dead, another round kicks off against the same enemy.

Every hit on your enemy shows visible wounds and blood, and their health drains until they drop to the ground. If you survive but took damage, you carry those wounds into the next duel — health doesn't regenerate automatically. That makes every mistake count: a missed shot in one fight can cost you the next one.

Character Select and Level Structure

At the start, you pick one of ten cowboys — different gunslingers with different looks, but the same core shooting mechanics. Your chosen hero fights through a chain of duels: nine rounds against unique opponents, each one faster and more accurate than the last.

The campaign breaks down like this:

  • 10 playable characters to choose from.

  • 9 duel levels with distinct enemies.

  • 4 bonus challenges scattered between the main duels.

After every win, the difficulty ramps up noticeably: enemies react to the "Fire" signal faster, and your margin for error shrinks to almost nothing.

Bonus Challenges

To break up the string of deadly duels, Gun Blood throws in bonus rounds. They pop up every few duels and flip the game into a target-shooting gallery.

In the bonus rounds, you need to:

  • shoot at targets as they appear;

  • avoid hitting the assistant — a character standing nearby who acts as the "do not shoot" person.

Hit the assistant, and the challenge is failed. Clearing it earns extra points and gives you a brief change of pace, though your reflexes and precision are still very much on the line.

Atmosphere and Visual Style

Gun Blood is styled after the classic Wild West: cowboys, revolvers, desert backdrops, and saloons — you know exactly what world you're in the moment the game loads. The camera frames two gunslingers face-to-face with no distractions — every bit of focus goes to the duel itself.

The game built its reputation largely on its gritty, over-the-top violence: hits leave visible wounds, blood flies, and the whole thing captures that raw, brutal Western feel. Many players describe it as a seriously intense and bloody flash classic — though the style stays cartoonish rather than photorealistic.

Who Is This Game For

  1. Reflex-arcade fans: it all comes down to reading the signal fast and clicking your target with precision.

  2. Western enthusiasts and old-school flash game lovers: pure dueling with no extra mechanics — just you, your enemy, and the timer.

  3. Older teens and adults who are fine with heavy blood and intense visual effects.

  4. For younger kids, the violence level is worth keeping in mind: the controls are simple, but the visuals are pretty graphic.

How many levels and enemies are in Gun Blood?

Gun Blood features nine main duels with unique opponents and several bonus challenges in between, where you shoot targets and try not to hit your assistant.

How many characters can you choose at the start of the game?

At the start you have ten playable cowboy characters available, and you choose one to take through all the duels.

What happens if you miss shots or are slow to fire?

If you react too slowly to the "Fire" command or miss frequently, your opponent will manage to land several hits on you, reducing your health and potentially killing you before you can stop them.

Does health regenerate between duels?

No, if you finish a duel while injured, your character enters the next shootout with the same health level and visible wounds already showing.

Why is Gun Blood considered a very bloody game?

Because every hit on a character is accompanied by visible wounds, blood, and intense knockdown animations, which is why the game is described as a "brutal and bloody cowboy arcade game."
