Step By Little Step is a hauntingly quiet indie game that delicately explores themes of loss, hope, and the true cost of longing for what’s gone. You play as someone unable to let go after their beloved cat has vanished forever, yet a mysterious ancient path between worlds remains open. To bring her back, you must move forward along a narrow walkway of shifting light and shadow—advancing step by little step. The one rule is heartbreakingly simple: never look back. Not once. Not even if you hear a familiar meow behind you, feel gentle paws padding close, or hear a voice almost like hers calling your name.

With every step, you get closer to reunion, but the memories start to fade—first the scent of her fur, then the warmth curled on your lap, then the soft purrs. The world dissolves into mist until only the path and a flickering hope remain. Turn around, and all is lost forever.
